Software Freedom Day 2011
Software Freedom Day 2011
by Rowena Sotto-Zaballa

I am participating in Software Freedom Day 2011 on September 17, 2011. I've been hearing a lot about open source, free software and the like but this will be my first time to attend a gathering of open source advocates. How about you?

I've been blogging for almost seven years but recently discovered WordPress. One of the reasons why it took me so long to appreciate WordPress is the fear that it is so techie and hard to understand. Oh boy! I was wrong "playing" with the plug-ins, installing it properly, and tweaking the codes make me feel like an expert in web design and HTML, hahaha. Fortunately, I would be part of the SFD 2011 Event at the New Area University. The seminar topics look really interesting and I'm very much willing to sit in the lecture of Content Management System (CMS) using WordPress.
